I see someone is coming back from market days 😉

It'll take you 30-40 mins from lakeview at 53p

like

Traffic starts to get bad around 6 so probably 5:40 latest to be safe. Could take 25 min, could take 50.

like

First time travel? Go earlier to smooth the jitters

like

5 with pre check

I'd leave by 5:25. Traffic has been a beast lately.

Assuming 6:40 board. 7:10 depart. If 6:40 depart, then yes 5am

@ey1 even this early? I usually take 8:50 flight and traffic is awful. Decided to be hard working this week. Hope it won't turn into a disaster...

I have been leaving at 4 45 for a 5 30 boarding from Addison, make it in 30mins usually

Assuming you're taking an Uber it takes me about 40 mins at that time + 15 mins for security = about an hour. I always like to give a little wiggle room in case of traffic nightmare

First time taking a flight before 7:30 haha

Depends how close you are to 90... if you are in east lakeview you'll probably need 10-15 min more than if you are in west lakeview. For 6:40, I would target getting here by 6. Usually ~20 minutes of highway time, plus however far you are to the highway..

I plan to get to pre check 5mins before boarding. So 6:35 - 35min travel time = 6am depart.

Left my house at 5:40 AM. Got to ORD at 6:20. Made it to my gate at 6:41!

Thanks FB fam. Happy Monday!

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? For reference, I did Venice-Florence-Rome in a week and it seemed okay but it also wasn’t as planned out

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

Not sure if this is the right bowl but hoping to get some insight. I have a lot of student debt, and am considering refinancing with First Republic bank to get a (marginally) lower interest rate. However, their version of refinancing student loans has changed in the last couple years so now they offer you a personal line of credit. Is it a bad idea to refinance with a line of credit vs a regular student loan refinancing?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
