What?? I thought Strategy and Digital were the "hot sectors'. Isn't that our push to differentiate in the market? And two weeks before Christmas? Consulting is the weirdest industry out there.
Tons of layoffs happening now in strategy. Trying to get people off books before end of year. I assume same happening in digital.
Really? Damn I'm trying to get into strategy. Guess that's not a good timing huh? 😅
I'm in digital and haven't heard of any layoffs in my group (interactive).
Federal is bringing in the money right now.
Weird, I assume not enough sold and over hiring. So odd considering every other word is "Strategy" or "digital"
Have people already gotten notices?
Word from above is that layoffs were specifically for interactive.
Just look at how the availability numbers dropped. Even though this is the slowest time of year. Or if you have an uptick in good-bye emails.
The ACN Strat bench has been amazingly heavy all 2016 and 2015. Layoffs were bound to happen.
In US. People are being counseled out (layoff) for low chargeability. As previously said, the bench has been super crazy for analysts and consultants. It's a necessary evil. Only so many people can get staffed all the time. Just make sure to network like crazy.
Not seeing layoffs in strategy, seeing managing out based on performance. We don't have enough people for the pipeline where I sit.
Managing out =counseled out=layoffs
Interesting, I wonder which group in AI. Any specific locations?
Mobility looks all good for now. Good be small number of under performers after notice or too much bench time. Acquiring companies left and right so don't see that happening too broadly.
I know it's happening to some degree, but it's mostly people being counseled out... in other words, performance-based layoffs vs financially driven
Haven't heard of anyone in strat getting laid off. Would be curious about levels/groups otherwise I'm skeptical.
Is this in US or else where ?
^in strategy
