Flexibility to work autonomously. If I have something else to do during the day, don't worry about it, I'm still getting work done.
Agreed, flexing in my remote position is a bonus. Most manager monitor every click or want the work done by 4 or 5pm.
I care about feeling connected to my colleagues the way I would in the office. I care about not being forced to get up at 6 AM or stay until 9 PM for a meeting because I’m in a different time zone. I care about work life balance since some employers seem to think because you work at home you should be available for more hours of the day. Those are some things I can think of off the top of my head.
The same things I can do in the office, I can do from my home.
The biggest perk is the flexibility, but what I care about most from my employer is having clear, communicated expectations and to be included as a member of the team (with information, updates, etc) just as an in office employee.
Can you elaborate?
Clear, consistent, transparent communication with the entire team so we are all receiving the same message.
Core/stated working hours so we are all in/available at the same time for essential meetings on a cadence then able to work flexible outside of those times so we can respect everyone’s time.
Measurable feedback.
Meeting agendas.

Flexibility in work hours/location; ability to wear more comfortable clothing; as a disabled person, ease of doing activities that could be challenging in person.
