Comp check. PE portco offer $450k cash + equity of $1.8M target exit in 4-5yrs. SVP of value creation in fin serv with current revenue of ~700M. Is this ballpark reasonable or short given the level/responsibility?
ChatGPT is giving me numbers like 2.5M equity and $600k cash and portco comps are harder to come by.

ChatGPT has no clue what it’s talking about for things like this.

It’s a very reasonable package.

These are amazing offers for an EM!

Absolutely in the right ball park. Certainly worth testing the math on the valuation by asking them the key metrics that need to be achieved and current valuation.

Hi all, I’m currently a solution architect with 1yoe and two bachelors degrees. I also hold two cloud certifications and make 60k a year. This seems very low considering what I’ve seen for average SA salaries for those who hold the AWS SAA certification. Was hoping for some insight on this and if I should seek more compensation. Thanks!

Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

Trying to help my sister negotiate her comp, advice appreciated. Context: starting 9mo maternity leave. Got reached out by her bosses from 4y ago (very good experience both ways). Job is perfect match for her skillset. They asked for her expectations, she said 90. They told her range for the job was 90-110. Offer was made at 90 (50M valuation start up). Also got stock option (24k for 4y vesting, valuated at 50k today) Convinced her to negotiate for 110. Is that too late? What arguments to use?
