Companies keep asking why candidates decline offers after multiple interviews.

The answer is simple, candidates are tired of hiring processes that take months.
When a company can't make a decision in a reasonable timeframe, it signals they're either not serious about hiring or struggle to make decisions.

Top candidates don't stay available forever. If your process takes 2-3 months, don't be surprised when the candidate accepts an offer from a company that has their act together.

Goodness this is so true. Every role I have applied to has spanned months. In a normal job market this would not fly.

like

In any job market it shouldn't fly.

In a world where companies can't afford to pay their people enough to live, let alone bearly breath, we don't have that kind of time to screw around.

We all feel like we're being taken advantage of as is it is. Atleast this is one part of the process that we feel like we have some control over.

It doesn't take much evidence at all to show a me a company isn't worth working for. Jumping through far too many hoops is high up on my list.

Unless you are going for a department director, or C-suit level position. Two feeler phone calls, and at the absolute most, two face-to-face interviews are necessary to feel out a candidate, (thats before any background work starts).

That is so true. We are expected to show how interested we are in a company but in actuality, we are more interested in paying our mortgages and feeding our families and paying for our car loans a little bit more. By the time they get back to me, I totallly forgot what the heck I learned about their company and learned/forgot about 3 other companies since then. Their "unlimited PTO" isn't great nor is it unique. Just pay me a decent salary for the listed role and let me work starting the next business day. I'm ready to work and more than qualified. :) Enough ranting from me. Have a great day!

Exactly. Some companies have so many rounds of interviews that by the end you aren’t even sure if you really want the job.

Hi fishies! Are there any recruiters from Facebook (Meta) who would be kind enough to review my resume and give me some feedback? From my perspective I’m a candidate for some of the roles I’ve recently applied for and also have experience as a contingent worker there and would like some honest feedback so I can reassess and reapply. Thanks so much in advance!
