Bain & Company I have a second round with Bain & Company coming up at the DC office for Experienced Consultant role. Excited, but hella nervous. Recruiter said it’d be 3 separate interviews, all with Partners; 2 case, 1 fit. About 40 mins each. First round was 2 case interviews with Sr. manager & Associate Partner. Been a rough year, so definitely looking forward to this opportunity. I’ve been on the site and going through preparation and materials. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!
Hi fishies, I am currently working as a Manager at Accenture for one of their MDM project. I have received an offer from Axtria. I have asked for 40% hike on my current CTC. There is no WLB in my current project, hence considering Axtria. If someone can help me understand the work culture in Axtria especially in BI segment.

I gave an interview in Accenture and the manager wants me to move to Hyderabad, but I'm comfortable with the Kolkata location. I've cleared two rounds and now the Hyd manager is telling me that if I move to Hyd otherwise they will not proceed with my application any further. Can anyone suggest to me what can be done here?
How much hike and bonus is expected this year ?

A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

You guys poached some high-up folks from EY-P a while ago.
I’m one of them and spent a year and a half being mostly on bench. They are hiring like crazy but limited growth opportunities.
Yeah, people successfully exit all the time. But it is a very broad firm (even within each segment) so both how the group is doing and where people exit to depend greatly on what it is you actually do.
FTI gets top marks for its restructuring group, but pretty much every other service line is a joke. It's mostly second or third-tier people who couldn't hack it at a Big 4 and pray they get decent fees from referrals from their top notch RX group. Every other client I got during my time there was a very low MM company and FTI's only value proposition was lower fees vs Big 4.
Funnily enough we don’t quite really do the same type of work big4s do. So in most cases we don’t always compete against them. We compete against mostly MBB or OW in this space and our rates are very similar. It’s hard to sell our value proposition compared to those counterparts when we have less credentials, playbooks, and lesser of talent pool.
Your take was a little hot and salty.
What kind of work do you do? Consulting in general seems pretty hot…
I was considering applying to FTI..seen a few folks from my current firm move over there. What group are you in?
I’ve seen the opposite. My group is sold out, strong pipeline. Good growth opportunities. What group are you in?
I've seen quite a few previous FTI employees come to Crowe so there's definitely opportunities out there.
