Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @
Hi, I recently came across Scaler's MS program, which offers masters degree in collaboration with Woolf University (European University). And, I am looking move to Canada in near future. Will the master degree offered through this course will be accepted by the education evaluation institute WES? If yes, is it considered as equivalent to Canadian Masters degree? Help you do what?
Nah. Not unless you plan to start having useless meetings about meetings or you want to begin requesting that your creative team start obsessively using time consuming, soul sucking spreadsheets. Take a class or two at your local community college in an area of business that’s relevant to your career and call it a day.
No. Learn by doing.
I went that route and didn’t finish but even doing half the program helped me.
Not in a creative role. But perhaps in pivoting to strategy or another line.
No. But its a good thing to have. It’s interesting, kind of unusual for a creative to have. But your portfolio is more important .
Nope
Broaden my career path? Mixture of business and creative could be more appealing and have more longevity in any type of businesses? Not just agency and client side? Or it could be a waste of time and money for sure
I took business classes through an extension program at UCLA and it was very helpful. Not sure an MBA is necessary unless it's just to buy you time to develop a business plan or strategy and you have the money part covered. I didn't even bother with the certificate program, just took the classes that seemed relevant. Nobody has ever brought it up in hiring as something I'm lacking or that it's great that it's on my resume. It did help me gain perspective that I bring to my process and interactions though.
I did it. Amazing experience but unless you’re planning a career pivot, then no it won’t help
I considered getting a Masters from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, but realized that any of the places I aspire to work probably wouldn’t really care....it’s really all about the work.
If you want to switch fields and go into to marketing or some shit like that, yes. If you want to stay in creative, no.
