I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

I need your guidance in shaping my career. I have good knowledge in Linux ,shell scripting and python. I have good development knowledge on both. The problem is these are secondary skills and because of that i don't get many interviews. I want to know what i can learn to make a better career with existing skills.

I had recently joined a big software security company located in Bangalore (I'm working remotely from NCR till October). There is too much work, timing is normally more than 12 hrs, everyone including manager remain online till atleast 11pm. Sometime he pings too.
I'm overwhelmed by such load of work. I became father last month only so life balance seems tripping. I'm supposed to relocate to Bangalore in Oct, what should I do? Need help sharks.

After being in Fishbowl for sometime, I see everyone has something (or many things) they don't like about their company (even MBB, Big 4). From outside those companies look like potential employers for candidates.

I know grass is always looks greener (sometimes actually greener) on the other side.

But what are good consulting firms which is basically perceived good both by employees and potential candidates?

I had asked for revision to 24LPA and 1 JB earlier my package given was 22 LPA. The recruiter agreed upon it and said she will give revision two days before my joining. But in between I took one offer and then asked for 25.5 and 1.5 JB. Just before 2 days. Recruiter now said her higher manager have trust issues and gave me same package what it was ealier and 2L JB I am regretting my ask how to overcome that.. 😭😭😭😭. I joined that company 22LPA and 2 JB.😭😭how to overcome my regret.
