When should I give a new client a heads up that I will take time off for mat leave? I started with this client about a month ago. There’s no SOW, and it’s a few hours a week for random projects. I didn’t tell them I was pregnant at the time we started. My plan is to work until the end of the year, and then take time off. When is the best time to let them know? Asap? A month before? I don’t care about picking things up once I’m back but I’d like to be courteous.

Hello All, Does anybody have any insights/info on why there isn't still Grade-8 in Support for IC role in India ? Have had multiple discussions with different managers but none of them have a definate answer of why and whether they are going to introduce in the near future.

Husband is doing well in his career, my son is thriving in school...Im still struggling to find a work place that i like. I been at my current employer for a year and to say the least i feel under utilized, undermined , only hired for my "optics" ( only minority in the team.. literally introduced once as the Puerto Rican HR lady). At first I thought some of the red flags was due to me being the new team member... but its gotten worst.... I want out... I have applied and interviewed. No luck yet

I’ve been getting a lot of anxiety recently related to work (60+ hour weeks, tight deadlines, harsh account/PMs in the past are triggering it now) and I feel like I start to feel resentment and end I up leaving to work at another agency where the same thing happens down the road. Hi! I've been trying to reach the IRS about correcting a name on a return, they won't process my tax return bc of this error. I call the number they provide 800-829-0582 ex. 372 or 772 and when I call i get a message that I need to call the number above. So it's driving me nuts bc it's a literal circle. I've tried calling the number listed on the IRS website and it's only prerecord info. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA. So confused how this works and got conflicting information from Merrill.

I made a mistake in the tax filing- filed an 1099 as long term gains instead of short term gains but have attached the correct 1099 pdf with the return. Am I in trouble? Should I Wait for the IRS letter to amend/audit or proactively amend myself?

How should I answer the question, “did you earn income working remotely by providing the services in a different state than the state you originally engaged employment with it”?
