NJ Personal Income tax question:
My wife and I file a joint return. We were part time residents in 2020z unfortunately, we both filed our joint tax return. My wife sent via paper and I sent electronically. Any idea what happens now? Can't get ahold of anyone.

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. Why is it when I owe money to a state from my annual tax filings, if I don’t pay the full amount I get charged interest. But when they owe me, they ask for additional documentation and won’t pay me interest for them stonewalling me. Not much volatility y/y in earnings.

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA.
