Curious to know how many are both the EC teacher and the general curriculum teacher for their PReK class. (And are you the IEP case manager for your students.)

Is it normal to struggle with the transition to starting your first legal job? I did all the things - graduated law school, passed the bar, started at the big law firm that gave me my SA offer 2 years ago… Now, I’m feeling miserable. It’s only been 2 weeks and I’m not particularly enjoying work. I was totally burnt out on law school at the end and it was a struggle to finish. I figured I was just “over” the law school grind. Now I wonder if I’m actually “over” the law. (Cont’d below)

I thought I found the perfect position in March but I was let go today. I was blindsided. Never a complaint, my reviews were excellent and I got along well with the owners. My only issue was the PEO not speaking with me and going directly to the owners with her agenda. I asked ownership to work with me and I would pull the PEO in, if necessary. Apparently, they have a longstanding friendship and he does not think of them as a vendor as a friend. She suggested a on-site PEO rep and out I go!

It’s been painfully slow this past month in my department (corporate law) and I had low hours throughout the summer. I’ve never refused work and have always sent an email to partners when I had slower months asking for more work. I’m definitely not going to hit my target. Should I be worried? I know I’m not the only one in this position but it’s still nerve wracking. Any advise on how to control your anxiety during those times?

Hi fishes, a little different question posted here - I am considering moving to London on a job offer. Strange, it may sound but I don’t drink alcohol. I am worried, that going out and drinking is a big part of the work and general culture in the UK, and I may come across as an unapproachable chap which may even effect my career in the longer run.
