Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

Really over this job, but company just started my GC application. I hear it takes about 2 years. Is the GC worth the wait? Does the time go by fast? Lol I feel stuck here & just tired. Send help

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? It doesn't feel good when the replacement that the management identifies to fill out your position is 5-6 yrs junior to you. Nothing against the colleagues at junior level but just that it hurts a bit. This shows how little the company had valued your contribution, hard work and the reputation that you have built over the years. So, love your work and domain but never love your organization.

What is the obsession with speaking on calls/meetings to “show your value”? Aren’t silent contributors just as valuable to the team as those who constantly announce their presence?
