This is happening in every Service Based Companies they are replacing experienced resource by hiring freshers. This is causing issue to managers handling the projects
You should not feel bad about this. Today’s market is of skill and competence. Just think from the company’s perspective. Will they bring an incompetent resource for that position?? No right.
Hence junior/experienced really does not matters as long as the person is able to manage things.

Your approach to recruiting seems archaic. You are setting yourself up for more heartburn with every passing year if you don’t change this YoE-driven mindset.
As I said I am all in for new talent taking up the challenges that a role requires. But in my line of work (functional/consulting) experience matters because this is something that you have gained over the years via your interactions and dealingswith clients. Fair enough if the company feels that they can work out with lesser experienced folks. Maybe this further justifies your reason why you resigned from the job at first place :)

What you have said is totally true, have myself had this experience last year. I was with 11YOE in a key FMCG project as a single contributor, when I left due to salary issue they replaced me with a guy having 5/6 YOE, guess what - I kept getting calls even 2 months post exit to assist with escalations and stuff, clearly the delivery was affected and project suffered. It was the poor resource and clients team who suffered as the company was only interested in getting billing done and securing their revenue. Since attrition is sky high it's only about filling roles and getting job done, no one cares about quality or client satisfaction
Be professional and leave it... It seems you are taking things personal level...
