Hi Sharks, I am asked to sign the offer letter. It's kind of an agreement between me and the company for accepting the offer and compensation numbers. Of course It doesn't have statments like I have to join the company on signing this. My question is that 1. If I get a better offer can I go and ask them to revise the offer? 2. Can I decide not to join the company? Will there be any legal consequences? Have you ever been asked to sign the offer? Boeing Tata Consultancy Wipro Capgemini Cognizant

If the ZS offer came within one week of DI offer, then you can call up your recruiter. Tell them that since you were actively looking for a change, you had given interviews at many organizations. ZS is offering me better perks and financial benefits than DI for the same role. I really do want to join DI, but I have to consider the financial aspect as well. So, if you are able to match the same offer then I can join DI.
The above may or may not work. So, it's not foolproof. I haven't tried this anytime. However, if I would have been in similar situation I would have handled it like above.
Whenever, you ask them to revise offer with a new offer in hand they will only match the new offer. Never expect they will give more than the new offer. Getting more than the new offer would only work if you would have received the DI offer after ZS offer.
Also, do not bother bringing this up to the recruiter if the ZS offer was released 2-3 weeks after DI offer. They will think you used the DI offer to climb the ladder and chances are they will not even do anything.
