This happens in so many companies. I hope you hold onto your worth despite them passing over your talent. More success to come for you.
The truth is, you never know who is “better” or “worse” than you. You can’t see into the mind of the recruiter, and you don’t know what they were evaluating you based on. It’s better just to move on than to dwell on who is “better” or “worse” because you don’t even know what they were measuring
Good pov and truth but I also challenge all Recruiters and hiring managers to be more transparent and clear when writing job descriptions. Maybe Include soft skill, culture & EQ expectations. If not in writing than for sure in the conversations, discuss what is desired so both are on equal ground to make the most informed decision if an opportunity is a good fit or not.
I have experienced this multiple times, but then again I just think to mysekf that maybe the job wasnt for me and I'm better off somewhere else. There are so many doors still open for me
