One of my out of state REs is suggesting that birth control for three weeks before having starting a cycle. I consulted with another RE previously and he noted that he doesn’t recommend birth control for too long when planning an ivf cycle since it can impact response to fertility medication. Does anyone have any recommendations for egg retrieval in the Boston area? I’ve heard great things about Boston IVF and CCRM, but would love to get additional opinions. CCRM seems a lot newer, while Boston IVF seems much more well-established.

I had my first IVF transfer yesterday and for the 3 days leading up to the transfer I was having very painful cramps (normal for me) and the cramps have continued post transfer. They only last ~15 minutes after taking Tylenol but they are intense. I’m worried the cramps will interfere with implantation. Does anyone have experience with this? I told my doctor and she didn’t offer much advice other than staying hydrated and following the protocol.
