Can people give valid responses ?
Chief
Details are crystal clear on the website. You think ey’s letter can get you an expedited appointment?
That’s not a valid question
One of my friends did that. He had an appointment in March, but he received a letter from the firm requesting an expedited appointment, and he got one. However, when he tried that a few years later, it didn’t work.
Fake news
Chief
I doubt that means anything

U.S. consulates in India consider expedited requests case‑by‑case, but generally only if you can document:
• Serious medical emergency (for you or an immediate family member) requiring travel to or from the US, with letters from treating doctors and hospital records.
• Funeral or death of an immediate family member in the US, with death certificate or funeral notice.
• Urgent, time‑sensitive business travel where a delay would cause significant financial loss to a US company (not routine meetings or annual conferences).
• Imminent program start for F/M/J students or exchange visitors when no regular slot is available before the I‑20/DS‑2019 start date, often within about 60 days of the start.
Situations that usually do not qualify
• Tourism, family visits, weddings, graduations, helping with pregnancy/childbirth, or routine annual business/academic conferences are explicitly listed as non‑qualifying reasons.
• “Last‑minute” travel due to not booking early, or already-purchased nonrefundable tickets, by themselves do not justify an expedited appointment.
At ‘a consulate’ - yes, I know someone who got an emergency appt with employer letter in May.
This was not in India though
