Did anyone recently interview at Merck for a Business insights and analytics role? How technical is the interview/ role? In my experience, most of these roles associate director and above don’t get hands on with building data layers/ queries but hire external teams or have support. Any info appreciated

Avoid Merck

Any reason why?

BMS is literally beyond screwed. Their entire future relies on cobenfy

They mainly ask behavioral and situational questions, you will not get many technical questions.

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

Hello,

I’ll be done with my masters in Medical Biotechnology in December and have done my bachelors in pharmaceutical sciences.

I am thinking of looking for jobs but I am kind of confused. I don’t know what roles or positions to look up for. Any help will be appreciated.

Location: Canada

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?

Thanks in advance :)

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Should I ask for more equity or is that standard? They’re public (currently ~$20)should I get the hybrid option in writing?
