Seriously, whenever I see the breathless stories on the news about some data breach I just shrug. I assume whatever data exists on me is all over anyway. I can take solace in knowing that I'm enough of a schlub that no one would consider assuming my identity.
Why sketch? In fact, isn’t it overdue. I for one, would appreciate, not being given a full pat down and my luggage turned upside down when I miss my ID on that rare occasion.
Ok, so you understand digital is a better future yet you still decide to sow fear uncertainty and doubt in online forums. I would you rather you contribute to be part of the solution, rather than the problem
Don’t really have strong feelings either way honestly. I was just excited when they let us use the digital car insurance cards, one less thing to constantly make sure is up to date in a physical copy. Not that I needed it that often, knock on wood, something nice to have available, just in case.
The digital health insurance and car insurance cards are nice. Can’t lie there!

The legislation also declares the mobile version of the identification card or driver’s license will not replace the physical copy and is not required but will instead work as a companion, allowing Illinoisans to use either format. There is an exception for law enforcement officials who may request the physical copy.
So pumped for the digital ID. Having ID on me is literally the only reason i walk around with my wallet 24/7 (since i already use apple pay for most things). Fingers crossed it actually comes out in 2025!
Yah but Illinois doesn’t have a mobile id available, so this only works tomorrow for people who are in Illinois from states which have mobile ids available
