Because poker is gambling . Most brands can’t or don’t want to be associated with a risky, habit forming activity that requires a legal minimum age to participate (when played in casinos).
I have doubts that any good agency is going to recommend it cuz it will never be the highest ROI sponsorship option to reach that audience, and therefore isn’t a good move for the client or the agency.

It’s way too risky. Gambling is too negative of an activity.
none that i know of, but there's lots of whitespace for enterprise and financial brands
people who play in and even watch the WSOP aren't renegade saloon-dwellers nor are they degenerate gamblers in the slot machine sense. they're way more uncool than that now, mostly just guys who work in finance, engineering, or some other quant-oriented field. pretty insular audience and truly very little risk of tainting brand associations thru it
Try telling Business Affairs. Same goes for alcohol. Most people who drink aren’t degenerates, but it’s the worst case scenarios who spoil it for the rest of us.
