Don’t know unless you try it. Personally I don’t care if it’s a woman or man who is being transparent with me. If you’ve generally been a good creative on my team, then you have earned some mulligans. People can’t be expected to deliver 100% of the time. It’s not realistic.
I wish you were my CD
I totally see where you’re coming from but I think you’ve got the order of operations backwards. The confidence to say something like that is usually why it succeeds. Straight white men, no surprise, are the most likely to possess the confidence.

To actually answer your question, I was once in a meeting where a creative (male) swore at two senior staff (both female) and told them that they were bad at their jobs. He'd only just started at the company and was still on probation. The female staff told our CD (male), who advised them to be better team members and said the creative's outburst was entirely their fault. A woman would have never got away with that.
I disagree and we’re not doing it. End of story, no push back.
