There seems to be quite a few people in here looking to join a startup.
We're a mature aerospace impact startup (in Switzerland) pre launch for a new platform to engage and empower passangers in order to accelerate sustainability in aviation. Our product website is www.adaption.me and company website is www.optimaero .ai.
If you're interested in joining us, and you think you have skills that suit our business, you could drop me a speculative application by email at hello@OptimAero.ai.

I think the sound and tone of anyone's voice impacts how they are perceived, and that could be their career, their relationships with people, their parenting success or failure. Close your eyes and pretend you've just been asked to remember three times in your life when someone's voice left a lasting impact on you. Guaranteed none of them will be times that left a good memory.
You’re right!! All I could think of is 1) someone’s voice was extremely nasely that it was difficult to understand them 2) someone who kept saying um excessively and 3) a time when someone used a condescending tone to put someone else’s idea down
It sure does, as a Director with a quiet voice it was hard for me to get my team's attention when I first became promoted. Still, I feel like they don't take me seriously sometimes and I don't know what to do besides yell.
I learned from a mentor that silence is so much louder than anything you could say. Just pause and be silent and wait for your team to get through whatever and then move on or re-direct to your point.
Yes, I think it has something to do with it. Someone with a commanding and deep voice has a better chance of being in a leadership position than someone with a high-pitched voice.
Why is this sadly true!

I personally don’t think it has something to do with the sound of your voice I feel that it has to do with something bigger than that
Coach
I think it has to do with consistency in how you manage or how you are collaboratively with other leaders and also with how others know the deeper or more firmer leader personably is why they may "respect" them more. For the lack of a better word. Which isn't fair but how long have you been in your role or have worked closely with these people?
