Do you feel safe cutting someone off? I’ve had a few scary moments lately where drunk guests got aggressive after being denied more alcohol, and management didn’t have our back. What’s your protocol when someone crosses the line?

It's extremely problematic that management won't take care of those situations. I trust the judgement of the team completely and I will always step in the second they need me to. You may want to consider looking for work elsewhere if you aren't already (I know, easier said than done in this market).

Thankfully my work has bouncers, so I rarely have to handle it alone, and most of our customers are regulars, so they have our backs as well if anybody gets rowdy. But it can be very intimidating.

Busco trabajo cómo cajera de algún supermarket 4 años de experiencia trabajé en fresco y más por 4 años en la caja

Yikes. Management should have your back. That’s their job! If you’re not feeling safe, then find another job asap!

Bounce out of that place immediately! Mgrs need to be directly involved. My team does not make that call - they tell me and I do the rest.

If your manager does not have your back, you need to look for another job! Or meet with their manager.
That is not only wrong it is dangerous in today’s society

Anyone done DIY attic insulation?

We had a home energy audit done yesterday and the guy said the attic insulation has a whopping R-value of 7 due to age and compression.

Getting a quote for them to do a loose fill to bring it up to 39, but also thinking about DIY loose fill depending on how $$$ the quote is. It's a ~700 sqft attic.

Hi. I'm currently in EY, YOE 9.5, CCTC 14 LPA fixed.. working on an offer from SocGen for 24 LPA.. should I ask more? What is the standard fixed CTC for 10 YOE at SocGen? Process Transformation Consulting..

Does SocGen provide joining bonus? I'm going to forfeit roughly 3.5 lacs worth of bonus this year to move.. need to know whether I can ask for JB.

What is the standard variable pay at SocGen? Is it 25%? Or 8.3%?

Permanent WFH options available? If so, are they mentioned in the offer letter

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
