Our skylight has been a game changer. You can keep using your google calendar, everything is synched between app, the physical calendar you display in your house, the “input” calendars.
Yes it can sync with iOS , Android, outlook, etc or use the skylight app. I was reluctant but it’s been the best thing we’ve tried!
We use our iPhone calendars and have a shared family calendar we keep updated.
We have a Google calendar that kids can access on iPad and it displays on our Alexa devices
3 boys in different school levels and different sports, makes for a hectic school year
We use the Google family calendar
I love my Skylight. It sits on the counter in our kitchen for all to see, including elementary school kids that don’t have phones yet but are old enough to get themselves. Hubs and I have app on our phones too.
Skylight
I've thought about getting one but I'm afraid the younger kids will start adding or deleting things from it. We've had this on our wall for the past five years instead.
We use the skylight and I love how easy it is to opens review. I take a look every morning and review with my husband on Sunday nights so we know who is covering what on a particular week
We use Cozi - not exactly a smart calendar but lets my spouse and I see one central calendar as well as shopping lists and meal planning. It lets us tag the relevant family members (including the dog) for an entry so helps color code and track who needs to be where. Would be nice if it automatically told my spouse that a new entry has been entered by me (it only informs the people who are involved in the task unless you update that manually) but otherwise works really well
My H and I invite each other to things we arrange using our normal Google calendars. Invite older DD too as needed, she can see on her iPad.
