I would love a black woman president. I’m not sure how likely she will win due to it being this late in the race. Whoever is selected will only have 2 months before the election to sway voters. We shall see
If we want her to win, it's important for us to use confident language that asserts that we believe she can win. Our language can create a climate where others believe that she can beat Trump, too—and we really need someone better than Trump.
This is exactly what I was saying in my friend group. We have to direct our actions toward the outcome we want and accepting or anticipating defeat is counter productive to that. Let’s carve out space for the best case! We aren’t powerless in this. We are the people!
If everyone thinks she won’t win, then she won’t. Voting is a fundamental right and yeah President Biden and the Democrats should’ve thought this a year and a half ago but, here we are.
With the Trump administration and it’s raggedy ass project 2025 in the wings I’m gonna do my small part so that my grandchildren and their children can grow up in a democracy
yup D1. whether you find someone likable needs to take a backseat to what’s stake for our democracy.
To be clear, there are a lot of things I don’t agree with Kamala about and that’s kind of the point
there isn’t a person who is going to make us completely a happy hundred percent on the issues and things that matter to us
But for the love of God, she’s sane and she’s not 400 years old.
You find a way to win the battle so you can regroup and think about winning the war
My grandmother went to a segregated high school in the South & my mother was born before the Civil Rights Act was passed. I am for damn sure voting for her and more importantly the Democratic agenda and down ballot candidates because I do not want my rights as a woman & a Black woman to regress.
Too many people fought to the right to just have voter apathy.
I personally will be voting for her and I do believe she has the ability to beat Trump. I’m sure I might be in the minority for some with my decision.
Obama was the first black president, unless you meant black female?
I’m sure OP meant first black woman president
Unfortunately- She won't win. Unless by miracle. Especially after she turned off a bunch of POCs with her latest "out in these streets" ad with Taraji P. Feels like she is pandering to black people too hard.
SC1 she has a pretty strong chance; and her record as CA AG is strong. She lowered recidivism rates and created novel programs for offenders to get an education instead of jail time.
Trump is simply not an option; why waste time doing the work of his supporters?
She’s just as much Indian as she is black.
KAMALA all the way… The End
I don’t think she would win
If I was her, I would be like I don’t want to do it. If the white nationals are mad now because of Obama, imagine what they will do once Kamala.. no thanks. Let them put a white man pick one.
True, but if we want to see this patter of white men in office change, it'll have to start with someone. Right?
I will be for sure! A vote for Biden was always also a vote for her, as she was a VP on the ticket. I'm feeling bittersweet, but hoping the country has progressed more since 2016 than we think. Trying to be optimistic and do what I can to donate and volunteer locally and keep some faith in knowing that Hillary (although white) did win the popular vote as a woman 8 years ago.
She needs a blow dry every week and to avoid the sun until November

I hate to say it but I don't think it is going to happen no matter how bad I want it to. I am certainly going to go vote for her but I just don't think a black woman will win against trump. Which in 2024 is really sad to say honestly.
And one of those two races being black means she is black. The beautiful thing about the universe we live in is that more than one thing can be true at the same time.
Both of these statements are true:
Kamala Harris is black.
Kamala Harris is biracial.
Nope
I will not be voting for her.
I wish the trolls in this bowl would go swim somewhere else or just swim without comments.🙄🙄🙄🙄
I like the fact that she is multi-cultural. Hopefully, she can help America deal with the fact that most of the country is multicultural.
Yes, Yes, and Yes.
