Nope, this is common. It’s rare in retail or hospitality to get more than 3%. It never matches inflation or your performance evaluation.
Unfortunately I think it’s pretty common these days. I’m so sorry.
Unfortunately it is common, especially for non-supervisor positions. If your intention is to make sizable annual salary increases, I’d recommend taking your experience to another company that has competitive pay. This is the next best option if there is a low ceiling growth in pay/professional development. Best of luck!
