Is it worth to resign in this recession time ?
I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

I don’t think it matters. With my HireRight background check all that mattered was congruence in start and end date.
The vast majority of job background checks just confirm dates of employment and maybe if you’re eligible for rehire. Most companies won’t share anything more for liability risk of sharing personal information without consent
No need to be so paranoid. Nobody cares enough to say “Oh yeah XYZ was a terrible performer so we let them go” your firm or whichever third party they hired will just ask “Is it true that XYZ worked from date A to date B?”
HR most likely doesn’t even know about the conditions of your separation
Even if they did, you can not do anything about it. If they did that, and you still got an interview, try a way to frame it as a positive learning experience.
There really is not point to sulking on it. If they did share that, well, tough luck. As I said and others echoed, it’s unlikely. Just be ready in case it’s otherwise
No, PIP is a confidential information and cannot be shared. It is a clear lawsuit if HR shares this (and proved)
