Does anyone do contract document review anymore? When I started my career about 15 years ago you could get hourly work doing doc review and it paid usually around $25/hr at the time.

Does this still exist and if so does anyone know where to find these kinds of gigs these days?

I’ve seen positions lately for like 30 an hour. It’s kinda crazy

Even when I did "doc review" as a junior, it was second or third level review and I was QCing and supervising the review of doc review/staff attorneys.

Yes, for the same pay. Between $23-$25 an hour for the big projects where they will take anyone with a pulse. The pay is terrible but the work is easy and it’s full remote. I have seen some solo practitioners pick up projects to supplement their income.

For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?
