No, no one should feel bad over that. The whole concept of taking time off is predicated on the idea that we'll come back with refreshed perspective and be better employees. So taking time off is actually better for the company. Keep that in mind and it's all quite simple. No reason for guilt!

Yes, it can feel like you’re letting the team down or leaving things unfinished even if you’re just taking a vacation. Usually it’s best to just communicate with everyone why you’re doing it rather than letting them guess. People are often more understanding than you would think.

You're overthinking. You earned that time off. Take it. If you have a hard time doing that, think how you'd respond if a friend or loved one was asking you this question. You'd tell them to take the time off for their mental health, right? Extend yourself that same grace.

You’re definitely overthinking. I too also feel this way but I know it’s just me over thinking
I never feel bad, but I also have supportive management that doesn’t overly question when someone takes personal leave.
