The license is useful.
💯
How did you make the transition to IB? I’m trying to do that
Same here
Yes get it an then you can select inactive. This way you can always reactivate without having to retake the exam.
Absolutely. You already completed the hard part.
Rising Star
Why would you go through the trouble of passing all four exams and then not get the license??
Absolutely get the license. I forget the term but you can make it inactive and not have to worry about CPE. Then when the times comes (if ever) you need it back, you have to pay some fee and take some course or something to reactivate it. That way if you ever leave your job and want it again you have that option. I had a family member do this
Especially if you might want to take on a CFO role at some point.
Yes.
Rising Star
Yes I would.
To have it and let it expire after the first term.
Rising Star
I haven't. But it doesn't seem like OP even wants one.
Chief
Yes so you can get the sign-offs for experience
Keep in mind you have to have a certain number of hours doing work with your CPA under a CPA to get fully licensed. Passing all 4 exams doesn’t mean you earned the CPA yet
OP, if you’ve already got the work experience you should 100% get the license.
Yes
Yes
Get the license. If you want to grow into a corporate job, it'll help to have on your resume. (Or potentially change jobs at all..) You will have to do the CPE though, so make sure you have friends in PA to send you links to the free webcasts.
Yes apply! Where are you leaving for?
