Lots and lots of practice. We also jumped to easy chapter books (magic tree house, etc) that were more interesting. Beginning readers are boring and picture books can be hard vocab reads as they are often meant to be read aloud by adults. We used easy chapter books and alternated reading each sentence out loud.

I would think the ADHD diagnosis would be enough especially w the other two conditions.
Wait, how do you know that he doesn’t have LD, he’s too young to test in my my district unless he was retained or the parents demand it, just bc development is varied when they’re young, and second graders by and large are still practicing fluency and comprehension.
Daily consistency... no days off from reading. And reading at school isn't enough. Reading at home everyday will significantly help. My daughter is in 1st grade and it just clicked... she was barely getting through Kinder and the start of first but she just blossomed!
