Does brand matters? your views?

Anyone hiring junior ADs or teams?
How is the variable payout in Wipro?
I feel cheated 😔
I did most of my project work made it from scratch with better code yet the manager offered my co worker to be a permanent employee.
He gave him 2 choice either leave next month as they have low budget or join them as permanent employee.
I feel my work is ignored and just feel bad, shouldn't i deserve this offer why him even when I've done more work 😔

Yes, it does. Recruiters see you in low profile if you have only worked in small companies or some service based.
But if you have the brand organization in your profile, it does give you an extra attention on your resume and value for sure.

It does and he is wrong. Am a prime example. I worked all my life in indian IT service firms and even after referrals never got an interview call at any FAANG or decent product firms. Recently I took an offer with EY parthenon, did not like it and started searching out just after 5 months. Immediately I had interview calls at amzn, sfdc. I had offers from 2 other firms without much of an interview for much higher package and now am in another product firm ... so I would say brand on CV matters.
Don't take advice from so called successful philosophers/influencers. It's there regular part of schedule to post something and get attention on.
By the way they initially got the fame because of their association with brand companies. And we all know the truth that background matters a lot.

That's a very immature comment like himself 😂😂😂😂 it takes many years to build a brand and obviously that matters those who don't understand it won't get it. Money certainly matters but upto a level. For example if u see someone from witch and someone from faang immediately u vl get the perception that faang guy will be the better one so that is the impact of the brand

Typical LinkedIn influencer. 🤦🏻♂️
This dude worked at Uber , Morgan Stanley and directi which gave him the fame 🤣 . It's an evaluative factor while searching for jobs in the eyes of a recruiter.

Money and brand matters equally. Good money, average brand is fine. Average money, good brand is fine. Good money, good brand is great. Average money, average brand is also borderline fine Bad money, bad brand is what we hate.
It does. And this Gaurav Sen guy has a very little industry experience whatsoever. This guy is a certified noob. He has good knowledge to guide grads, but that's as far as his knowledge goes.
Source: I saw his actual course videos that he very proudly has created over all the hype he created in his YouTube videos.
Take his words with a pinch of salt.

Most of the time money matters ?
Most of the time, you don't even know what team or project you're being hired for.
There could be people who would prefer position over money and like to make less money than the people who report to them and if you are that person, you do you, but arguably money and brand (culture) are much better and feasible parameters to judge an offer than whatever buzzwords LinkedIn gurus think would sound the best
After working on a pathetic project, i think work life balance matters a lot. Everyone has different opinions on this though which are based on their recent experiences.
Well I don't agree to that. Associated with a brand itself gives great exposure and exponential growth in career. Yes sure money matters, but working with great folks and learning to grow in future to make more money is always better than working with low scale company without much exposure and earning more just for satisfaction.

Haha I love the comments on this thread 🤣🤣
Had 1st Hand Experience. Brand actually matters a lot.
When I was in my previous Org, I barely had any In-mails from FAANG recruiters.
It's barely been half a year in my current Org and I see regular In-mails from them(Google, Amazon, NetApp)
Brands matters alot......
According to me, atleast there should be one brand name in your resume throughout your career.
Brand matters when you are talking about Google and Microsoft.
Having Google or Microsoft in your resume really worth.
