Pregnant with verbal job offer - how to negotiate maternity leave? I am only a few weeks pregnant and I have a great job offer. There are two points I want movement on (1) equity (2) maternity leave. The company offers new employees with <1 year tenure 14-16 weeks unpaid mat leave (+ whatever I get from CA state short term disability program which is less than half my salary).
