During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI

After acceptance of your offer , they will start the background checks... Once that is done and you have your confirmation that it's green, askhr team will ask you a date of joining which you can select.
You just have to inform them at least 7 days in advance that you are willing to join on this date.
Please be informed that you can only select Monday, so in your case either you negotiate your last working days to Friday and Join on Monday or you request Microsoft to postpone joining to next Monday once your background check is done.
Hope it's clear.
No.... You should resign. This is what people do.
If you had not done anything wrong in the past and all the documents you have submitted are correct then you don't have to worry about.
This is a standard procedure every company follows. So your joining on the tentative date mentioned on your offer letter is 99.9 % certain.
I hope you understand.
