Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

In my experience people are just instructed to leave that day. It's not like there's any hard feelings about it, but for various security reasons they don't want people on the premises who have made it clear they're moving on.
I've experienced both! One said that my two weeks wasn't necessary and that I can take the two weeks with pay. The others have all let me work my time and wrap up my tasks.
I have seen both…usually going to a competitor if disclosed means walk out. But sometimes they don’t go to a competitor and still leave that day or the next day
Current company allows you to work through the two weeks. Previous ones have not. I wonder why it isn't a uniform policy at your company. Maybe because coworkers were going to competitors like SC1 mentioned but your teammate wasn't?
It depends on the company. The one I am at currently has you work out your two weeks. My last company let you go immediately but still paid me for the two weeks.
