Feel free to add to the list and also add hourly bill rates that are possible in the area and highest salaries you’ve heard of in that domain without having to be much of people leader.

See I don’t think the real shortage has hit yet.

There are still plenty of 60-70 around, but they’re going to start aging out incredibly rapidly. As the olds get pushed out on their ice floes, the difficulty of finding talent will tempt most CIOs to hold off on anything other than Tier 1 breakfix. Add in the recession that will come sooner or later where budgets will be slashed, and you’ll see that tsunami of technical debt hit all at once in about 5-7 years. At that point people will start throwing absurd amounts of cash just to get you to pay attention.

i do epic. it might have one of the best earning potentials, but i would not say that it is an upward trajectory. bill rates are coming down, consulting firms want to take a bigger cut, salaried positions with less travel (and pay) are becoming increasingly common, and deloitte and accenture even have offshore agreements with epic. dark days although it still probably pays a little better than salesforce, data science, or workday.

regarding AWS, my friend was a developer at amazon and worked on AWS. he was very well compensated. not sure if that is any indication of the consulting market.

cyber security i know nothing about

you can dm me for more info

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Graduated in 2014. Base comp is $127.5k in the Philly area. I see salaries all over the place in this site and it’s hard to tell whether mine is competitive.
