It's never about the title.... I value those that can actually deliver end to end in supply chain.

I did the same thing! The quizzes at the end of each chapter are almost word for word some of the exam questions in Basics!

Interested in CPIM answer too

I haven't seen it be a differentiation but it can't hurt. I've seen more lean/6-sigma focus.

Not in consulting - in industry, 6 sigma is generally a "Big deal"

In industry, CPIM is a pretty big deal. If you're working with large scale inventory projects, it won't hurt. The CPIM test is changing to 2 exams in August though. Do yourself a favor and do basics now then the 2nd one when it comes out.

C1 thanks! College offered a for credit class that was basically prep for cpim so have all the study materials but great to hear it's getting reduced

Please help. I’ve moved up the ranks pretty quickly at the company I work for to become a Principal SE. My manager thinks the best next step for me is to move into management and leadership and has started pushing me to apply for an engineering manager role. They say that I will be a good fit because of my strong technical background paired with the leadership and people skills I display currently.

I’m torn because I do love being an IC but I’m interested in leadership also. What do I do?

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.
