During a 1:1, my manager just offered me “coaching advice” and called me “aggressive.” He was referring to feedback I gave on a call with a client. 5 folks on my team slacked me to thank me for saying what I said. I’m shocked it took this long to get this feedback. Although I’m seething mad, I’m taking my power back and reframing it as “I spoke like a man in a meeting.”

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it?
