Edelman People: Have you seen any examples where the firm is open to remote employees?

I'm currently at another big firm but don't live near a major metro so I work remotely. I'm not in a position where I can move so I'm looking to find another agency that is open to remote.

Believe only those who are grandfathered in. I’ve heard they won’t hire remotely anymore.

We are not hiring remote anymore unless you have a super niche skillset for a role we’ve had trouble filling.

This info might be a bit outdated now, but I know someone who worked with the LA team remotely while living in Denver (and also while living in dallas before that i think?) But they were part of the layoffs a couple years ago so that was a while ago (and i cant say for sure whether or not their remote status was a contributing factor to the layoff)

Quite a few of us on creative work remotely, I’m proud to say. It can be done, if you make a solid case for yourself.

Yes, I’ve seen quite a few remote workers

Hi all, I’d love to hear from PR/Comms folks about the process of transitioning from agency to an in-house role. What kind of chance does a PR pro with ~7 years of solid experience across CPG and hospitality brands, including a mix of global agency work and smaller boutique firms, have at going in house? Do you typically need more experience before going in house? Would be great to hear about various experiences from those that have made the transition. Thanks!
