Their fund options are usually on the higher side when it comes to expense ratios

Definitely think negotiation is an option, but they’ll probably increase the price of the plan of course

My brother does and I selected which funds for him to invest in. Yes, their expense fees are ridiculous for the funds that they offer with my brother’s employer. His were closer to 0.5% to 1.5%.

IIRC the John Oliver episode on 401k was partially about them using John Hancock (and some hidden clauses)... Maybe check that out

I’m planning on getting my real estate license this spring! My biggest hesitation is that I currently live downtown Chicago and do not own a car. I really do not want to buy or lease a car as the area I live in requires a garage spot to park. Is it realistic to believe that I can be a real estate agent in Chicago if I rely on Uber/CTA?!

Currently 23, first year post-grad. I’m currently putting about 20% into Roth 401k, nothing into Roth IRA. Originally had traditional 401k but just switched current / future contributions to Roth 401k. Company 401k match only 6%.

Should I be maxing our Roth IRA and then focus on 401k contributions?

Help please, so many options!!
