Bonfire!
I love this. Made me chuckle. Good starter for the fire pits.
I throw stuff out throughout the air. I never keep anything in my classroom for longer than one unit.
So make a quarterly reset... I like that.
I love throwing out paper at the end of the year. Every form, assignment, checklist and to do list—gone! So liberating!
I keep master copies of things I know I’ll use again.
Since we have gone to Canvas, my paper load is minimal. I only use paper copies if a student has make-up work or is absent and doesn't have internet access.
Sometimes I miss the paper and pencil days. Some things were so much easier. The one thing I don't miss though is carrying all those papers home to grade. 🙂
I have a student aid build files for the papers after each unit. When I get my teaching schedule for the next term, aids help me throw out the unnecessary. Folders. I scan everything I use so I have digital everything. I also save 1 paper and put into a binder. Only a few worksheets I’ve actually reused over 15 years. I also use canvas so I only print if absolutely necessary. However some assignments just are better on paper.
I agree. I am seriously thinking about making my eighth graders so the Argumentative Essays' outline and rough draft on paper.
