We have 19. And 25 PTO.
That is amazing
No. What are the 4? Do they also have off for federal? Never heard of only 4 days off
Normal IMO to work the days of any Eve and in retail not to count on having the day after Thanksgiving. Memorial and Labor are usually included…
About 10 holidays is typical. Plus 3-4 weeks vacation. Plus 5-10 sick days.
I had one job where one holiday was floating, but normally they are all set by region (US, Europe, Asia), so everyone is off at the same time.
Red. Flag!
28 paid days off is excellent. Don’t sweat the categories. The total is what matters.
And take a broad view. What will you learn? Can you advance? What’s the reputation of the PE firm?
Days off are a thing but they are also a small thing in the overall scheme of things.
We get 38 days PTO - I wouldn’t even consider an org that only gives 28. 4 weeks of vacation, typical Fed holidays and closed 12/24 through 1/1 every year. Sick time is completely separate - I currently have the max of 24 weeks of sick leave banked but hopefully will never need it.
hmm i have unlimited pto. also pe firm is a red flag
google how PE firms essentially are leeching off the companys profits in exchange for capital. they flip and sell unprofitable companies
No. That is weird. I can see from a business perspective letting people choose which days/holidays they want to take off which I do kinda like. Just keep in mind if those long weekends come out of your PTO and plan accordingly especially for any long vacations. I’d want to know how the days accrue and roll over and paid out at termination. States have very specific requirements here as well.
Adding to the pile that it’s not normal. We get 12 holidays and 20 PTO, and unlimited sick days, and we also “close” from Christmas to 1/1. I would never consider a job with only three holidays unless there were lots of PTO to make up for it and no sick days limitation.
