There are obviously other major financial hubs (London, Frankfurt, Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai) but within the US, nothing compares to New York

like

Yep. And most cities outside New York also have electricity, those internet machine things, and football teams better than the Jets.

There is some that goes on in Chicago, LA, etc. But it's not the same scale

like

I can’t tell if this is serious or not... if it is, yes, you can practice M&A outside of New York. Many firms have very robust and sophisticated M&A teams all over the country.

Boston. Love that dirty water! Been here for 8+ years doing a ton of tech and life science focused M&A. Buy and sell side.

Ever heard of California?

Lol I believe the Silicon Valley is one of the largest M&A markets if not the largest for the tech/emerging growth sector

like

Lol. I do billion dollars deals well outside of NY every year.

Okay, so I have pretty bad cystic acne, clogged pores and enlarged pores. I’ve been using curology and a mild dermatologist recommended soap. I have seen some improvement, however I was curious if anyone was struggling with it and has tried the “Flo Vitamin gummy’s “ on top of my fertility struggle this really has kinda killed my confidence. I know it’s not specifically fertility related but Was hoping to get some feedback on similar situations

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

Negotiating a settlement. I’m at $10k, opposing counsel is at $20k. My client won’t go higher than $15k. OC has come down to 17.5k and says his client won’t budge from that. Do I offer 12.5k so we can hopefully meet in the middle at 15k? Is that how the settlement game is played? Seems dumb we can’t just say let’s meet in the middle now and be done with this. (I’m a first year, first time negotiating a settlement on my own and I don’t want to screw this up!)
