How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.

Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

I suppose your colleague has more leverage. It’s just how business works
Sorta. If OP's colleague had half a brain they'd leave. A good company wouldn't wait til resignation
Raisee are different than promotions, so hopefully you're still good. If you don't get one, it's time to start looking elsewhere.
I quit my last job. When I handed in my notice, the way they handled it confirmed some reasons why I was leaving in the first place.

This is your sign to get a new job
Your employer is shortsighted and cheap (as opposed to frugal).
You can't control what they do, only what you do.
Try not to compare yourself to your peers, it looks bad to your manager and can lead you into a negative headspace.
That said, if you're working hard, producing, and getting nothing, you should consider moving yourself.
At the very least, update your resume/LinkedIn, and start researching potential companies.
