Extreme brain fog. It’s been one week. I can only do the bare minimum, and it sucks because I don’t feel like I can afford downtime given I’m unemployed and need to secure something. I’m taking vitamins, eating healthy, hydrating, sleeping.
For ADHD women - I’ve noticed my PMS is very bad this time and I haven’t even started my period yet!

When that happens to me it’s because whatever I’m doing doesn’t truly move me. When there is a goal I want to accomplish, I can stay awake for days working towards it.

When I need to snap out of it, two things possibly help (not every time because of course): working out - preferably something hardcore where I need to pay attention and adrenaline kicks in, like keeping up with a group dance class or boxing sparring; and notching a "win", accomplishing some nugget of a task I've been sitting on for a while. Both of those will usually shake some proper dopamine loose.

Have you looked into PMDD? It’s commonly co-morbid with ADHD, I struggle with it, I basically can’t function for like 7-10 days. It’s like severe PMS with insane brain fog & mood swings. Look into Reddit for people’s experiences. I’m still trying to figure out what helps.

Looking for insight on avg total comp for registered middle management with big bank. Considering making the jump from a branch advisor to managing a team of branch advisors. I’m newly 9/10 licensed. I’ve been building book in a bank branch but the consumer bank side of the job is draining. I’m making $155k total, $75k of that is salary. Anyone else have a need to exercise daily? My psychiatrist today revealed to me that I may have ADHD, still a hypothesis that he is still exploring but from my personal experiences and discussions with therapist, it seems likely.

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms. I do struggle to keep focus and generally take a bit longer to finish them, specifically the structuring of the case. Does anybody else feel the same way and any recommendations to overcome this?

Hello All - I struggle with time management. I take medication but I have no idea whether a task will take 40 mins or 4 hours. Because of this, I over commit and under deliver. Had my 1:1 with my People Lead yesterday to prepare for talent discussions. Said I had a great year - but need to work on being consistent. I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since.
