Honestly, that was one of the first signs for me too. Did your psychiatrist recommend trying medication? If it is ADHD, then you will almost immediately notice a difference from taking medication. I've heard others say this on here too, but with true ADHD nothing is going to help like medication will.
Thanks D1, yes he did mention the idea of taking medicine once he has confirmed his ADHD diagnosis, with a follow up discussion and questionnaire.
Unfortunately for everyone who has ADHD, forming a solid routine can really help. I say unfortunately because if you have ADHD it can be tough as hell to form and keep routines. I would talk to your doctor or psychiatrist about possible medication options, and look online for some ADHD-friendly work tools that might help you focus.
The first part of your question is tough to answer because it's sort of a squares and rectangle situation. All of us in here feel that way (focus issues, taking longer to start or complete tasks) as we have ADHD, but not everyone who feels that way has ADHD.
Have you guys thought about disclosing this to employers? At interviews? Some companies do ask about disabilities/special needs and maybe illegal to not report. I've literally found out this week so alot of ideas and thoughts to process on this topic.
