One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

I wouldn’t openly share about the ADHD… personally I haven’t. (You’re obviously welcome to so what feels right but I believe it’s not commonly understood yet.) I’ve gotten this feedback for the last 15 years but just realized this year that I have ADHD.
Set up processes and checklists for yourself: have a management/model system. It could be reminders of what to check before a deliverable goes for review, a consistent plan for each day, etc.
Set up a window when you’ll respond to emails. Consider the the “touch it once rule” - just respond right away but do it during a set time so it doesn’t derail you.
Lastly, find the times of day and work environment in which you are most productive and plan your more detail oriented work during that time and create that environment meant for yourself.
Good luck!
I didn’t write this post but will definitely be using this advice!
I’d suggest possibly using a tool like OneNote to keep a record of everything going on. It’s especially useful when my attention is “fuzzy”, since I can go back at a later time and digest the information at my own pace.
Thanks all. For me it’s not about being organized, etc, it’s that I’m not engaged and I have a hard time making it through the day. I ended up talking to the Disability ERG lead for North America which was helpful. We’ll see what happens - but of course won’t find out for a few months (which is not helpful at all!!)
