Feeling burned out as solo in-house counsel at a company around 500 people. We have external counsel to help with some things, but I’m still so drained. Tired of the pushback, questioning, and legal just being seen as a rubber stamp. What do I do?? I need some to decompress. It’s only Monday and I am fighting hard not to snap back at people.

At the end of the interview, the person told me I passed the interview and they were going to talk to the Director who’s a level under them. It’s a yes for them and they’re happy to work with me.

I also sent my references. I don’t know when I can expect an reply. Recruiters from that company aren’t really organised
