Feeling stuck at 8 YOE, any advice?
Laid off from a MM fund in the US last year, unemployed for several months, then offered $120k (base+bonus) for a more junior role at a large fund in Europe. Accepted and have done great deal work since.
However I’m trying to make it back to the US for hopefully >$300K (base+bonus) but getting turned down everywhere despite referrals. I’m a us citizen so that isn’t an issue.

Is it gg or can and how do I make it back?

I have an experience of 6 years in Production and Application Support. I have worked as middleware administrator as well for Jboss and Weblogic.
But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.
But I am not sure without any practical knowledge, will I get a job at this many years of experience in a different profile.
Do companies hire for AWS profiles with good packages at beginners level?

My sister might divorce with her husband, they have a baby of 1.5 year. We came from a divorce family and honestly never thought it would happen again - I feel powerless and I don’t know what to do.
