What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I always bill 100% of my time and for my entire career in public accounting I have never heard anything negative until recently.. I was told to watch my time as the client doesn’t like to pay these fees, and the partner is unhappy because it looks like I have high hours. Is the message that I should eat my time? I’m considering investing into a special purpose vehicle (SVP) that would invest into a first round capital raise for a cannabis saas company...what are some of the key questions I should ask/consider? The company has already received seed capital from a couple big names.

VC associate offer evaluation:
210k base
30% bonus
20k signing bonus
1.5 million carry dollars at work (400m final close with 250k for every 50m increase up to 500m fund max) with 7 year vesting period (ouch)
Completely remote with encouragement for juniors to travel and build relationships around the country.

Just wanted to get a feel for whether or not this is a good offer as I don’t know many people in the industry.
